Here at UUCO, we are committed to intentional, careful exploration of our religious and spiritual path. Our program is designed to acknowledge our individual paths within a connected, loving community.

Exploring this Month’s Spiritual Theme: Hope

Sunday December 3rd Junior Explorers (during worship) – Explore how light can represent hope. Create Diyas as you explore different winter light festivals. Children’s chapel, kindergarten through 4th grade

Senior Explorers (during worship) – Explore how light can represent hope. Create Diyas and ornaments for the Christmas tree as you explore different winter light festivals. Room next to the art and craft room, fifth and sixth grades

RE Adventure (noon to one) – Explore how blessings for friends can bring hope during the holidays. Create blessings for friends and for our minister. Art and craft room, all ages

Special Presentation by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (noon to one) –  Knowing the difference between the “blues” and depression and other mental illnesses. What is it and what do you do, where do you go?  Adults and youth only

Sunday December 10th RE Fellowship (noon to one) – Enjoy bubbly drinks and cake as we send off our minister on her new adventure. Fellowship hall, all ages

OWL Parent Orientation (4 – 6:30 pm) – Are you interested in having your junior high (7-9th grade) child take a comprehensive sexual education class? Attend the parent orientation to learn about the curriculum. If your child is attending the class you must attend the parent orientation. Board room, parents of junior high youth
Tuesday December 12th Soul Matters Sharing Circle (6:30 – 8:00 pm) – Explore what it means to be a people of Hope. This group is full. Please join the other Tuesday group. Board room, adults only

Sunday December 17th Festival of Lights Pageant (special worship service) – Explore how light has played a role in bringing hope to the darkness. Come act and sing as we explore different light holidays from around the world. Sanctuary, all ages
Sunday December 31st Junior Explorers (during worship) – Explore the hope that we have for the new year and create our resolutions. Children’s chapel, kindergarten through fourth grade

Senior Explorers (during worship) – Explore the hope that we have for the new year and create our resolutions. Room next to the art and craft room, fifth and sixth grade

*Nursery Care – lessons for 3-5 year olds will be about what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist
